A little about me:
I’ve been surrounded by design my entire life. My mom is one of the most amazing and talented designers I’ve ever known whose client list spans the globe. She is truly an inspiration and my mentor. I remember playing with all of the fabric samples she would bring home & pretending to decorate my doll houses & baby cribs as a child. I just love the creativity in a child. My 7 year old daughter does the exact same thing now! LOL! It’s funny what kids pick up on! After graduating from college, I moved back to Texas to pursue a career in the family business ~ IBB Design Fine Furnishings. We have an incredibly talented staff of 19 designers in Dallas Fort Worth and 4 in Houston. I’m like a kid in a candy store working at IBB. Every day we get all sorts of cool new stuff in & I wish I could take it all home
Working professionally in this industry since 2001, I’ve developed an extreme passion for helping families live beautifully. I find my inspirations all around me ~ in art, nature, on the internet, in words, in pictures, in colors, in books, in relationships ~ basically everywhere! Design is subjective & you should always let your imagination run wild. While there are guidelines & basic rules to follow, at the end of the day your home should reflect your personal taste & style. I hope the ideas, advice & discussions you’re exposed to by the Designer Detective will inspire you to live beautifully.
Everyone should feel like they’re livin the good life!
